Wrigley (formerly known as Donnie)

Donnie came into the shelter at the beginning of 2006. He was completely terrified and it was heartbreaking watching him cower. We had to work with him and get him used to going out on a leash and he eventually started coming around but was still very timid. Despite the fact he was extremely cute and his colors and markings stood out, he was passed over time and time again.

Finally he was noticed and was adopted just in time to have a home for Christmas! We were so happy for Donnie but the following update and pictures from his new family brought tears to our eyes and made us laugh at the same time.

Hello!!

I know it has been awhile since I have adopted Wrigley, or as you known him "Donnie" but I've finally got around to uploading some photos of him!! He is a very happy, and naughty, doggy. It took awhile to get him to come out of his shell, but my husband and I are sooooo glad we invested our time into him. He is a truly WONDERFUL Dog!! He loves to go on walks with us and play with his new sibling, Charlotte ( a 7 month old calico kitten ). Wrigley is a totally different Dog than from the day we took him home and we will keep you guys informed of how he is doing. I am sure if he could, he would thank all of you for taking such good care of him until we were able to come into his life! Thanks again!!
